Today as I was getting ready to merge over to a highway off ramp, I was passed by a couple of older folks in a beige '07-ish Camry. I noticed that they both had their seats cranked really far forward, and they had their headrests turned around backwards.

My only thought is, these old folks have their seats so far upright that the headrests were getting in the way of their heads, so they decided, hey, let's just turn those headrests around. Either that, or someone was messing with them.

Today I cam across a Camry stopped at a green light. I was coming from the light previous with a wave of traffic. I caught up to it. I laid on the horn for like 20-30 seconds before it got going. Grandpa had to be at least 75. C'mon man!

in the camry's defense, I feel if you put a set of wide wheels, wrapped in pilot supersports, and put in a way to lock the car in a specific gear (and make sure it's a paddle-shifter equipped SE model) it could drive pretty freaking nice. Especially if it's a V6 one. 268hp is still more than our lords and saviors: GTI, FoST, WRX, MS3 FiST etc

Grassroots Motorsports tried souping up and racing a V6 Camry 5-speed (Can you say "unicorn?" I knew you could.) As a great philosopher once said, "That's not gone well, has it?" They blew not one, but two engines because the V6 kept running out of oil around harder corners it was never meant to take on stickier tires than it was ever meant to have.

They meant well with the project. They wanted to see what you could do with Grandma's hand-me-down on a budget. Having gotten my autocross start in a Mercury Tracer automatic, I appreciate doing what you can with what you already have. It just didn't go very well for them.
